Kokoda mine should go ahead
THANK you Steve Marshall and ABC TV for putting out on TV the correct information on the Kokoda Track on March 9.
The response by the Australian government is premature and unrealistic and after seeing your story, I now feel for the landowners and strongly oppose the decision of stopping the mine from going ahead.
The map clearly shows that the war track is miles away from the planned mine site.
What is the big deal?
Let the people have their development and the Kokoda Track.
Please use the right track for the trekkers to feel the pain experienced during the war.
On humanitarian grounds every person has the right to good and healthy living.
What right does one have over some else good and healthy living?
These people are God’s people and he has blessed them with this blessing in order for them to have a better life.
No one has the right to stop them from having this blessing.
