TABUBIL Soccer Association president James So-on has lashed out at PNG Football Association and Goroka Soccer Association for not getting their act together to confirm the date for Highlands Regional Club soccer championships.
So-on said Goroka as host had failed to inform member associations
why they postponed
the championships.
He said the HRCC was originally scheduled for this weekend in Goroka but was deferred to the end of this month.
He said there was no communication between PNGFA and Goroka to notify members of the new date.
So-on said he learnt of the changes through NCD Public Servants Soccer Association Simon Koima
So-on said when he enquire with PNGFA general secretary Dimirit Mileng, he was told that Goroka president Andrew Naikabam did not book the National Sports Institute venues in time for the championships.
Naikabam confirmed and admitted that he was late to book the enue for the soccer championships.

Minor premiers out in Hohola RL Cup
MINOR premiers Toks Mix Dogs were bundled out of the Hohola Powes Parkop Cup off-season rugby league competition last Sunday.
The Dogs were beaten 24-14 by a much improved Texas Melona outfit led by play makes Stanley Tepend who called the shots from five-eighth, setting up tries and scored one as well.
He also had a good day with the boot converting all four of the sideís tries.
Texas Melona will now meet Tia Broncos in the major semi final this weekend.
In the other match, Gerehu Sikin Brothers demolished BP Towers 42-8.
And it was Kumul and SP Cup player Jessie Joe who directed traffic, having a hand in most of the tries that were scored.
Brothers will now meet Omaki Namona in the other major semi-final match this week Sunday.
In the B grade matches, Sapea defeated Toks Mix Dogs 24-12 while Texas Melona beat Hoks 5 Dragons 14-12.
Sapea will now meet Malipin Brothers while Texas Melona will face Titans on Sunday in the major semi-final.

Basketball vacancies
ALL executive position with Basketball Federation of Papua New Guinea (BFPNG) will be up for grabs at its annual general meeting on March 29.
BFPNG Development officer Ronnie Mea confirmed recently that election of the new officials will be high on the agendas.
The positions up for grabs are president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer.
Mea has urged all the association executives to attend this important annual general meeting which will decide the course for basketball in the next three years.
All the executives wishing to attend must prepare their 2007 annual operation report for presentation at the meeting. All local association executives attending the AGM must confirm their attendance to secretary Saskia-Ani on 6589820, Ronnie Mea 3251991 and Ben Davis on 6814906.
He said all nomination must reach his office no later than March 21 or they can post their mail to P.O.Box 4186, Boroko, NCD.

Junior names sought
MEANWHILE, Mea is calling on all selected national junior squad members to confirm their inclusion and participation for the U190 FIBA Oceania Games in Guam from Sept 24 to Oct 4.
He said so far Kundiawa, Ramu and Kokopo have submitted their players profiles while major centres Port Moresby, Lae and Goroka have yet to make any contact with the BFPNG office.
All players have until March 30 to confirm their inclusion and send their profile to BFPNG office.

Flying start in touch
BLACK Stallions got off to a flying start winning four matches of Central touch football competition played at Apex Park at Boroko on Sunday.
In the senior men, Black Stallion drew with TNT 2 but proved too strong in the open women to thrash TNT 6-3.
However, TNT narrowed the scoreline 2-1 in the senior mix but they failed to score in open men losing 2-0 to Black Stallions.
Koki Eels had a good afternoon wining three and losing two in the senior division. The Eels failed to fire resulting in a 2-2 with Tribe.
In the open women, Koki beat Tribes 2-1, and in senior mix Koki Eels drew with Tribes 3-3 and in the open men, Koki beat Tribes 2-1.
Mustang registered only one win in Senior Men but lost all their other games while Koki Eels, Bullets, Tarangau, Saints, Razor Backs produced mixed results on the day.
