Deal with immoral behaviour

TWO months ago, both daily newspapers reported that a girl was allegedly raped by a certain politician in three different provinces – in Mt Hagen, Goroka and then in a hotel in Lae.
More recently, another girl was allegedly lured to a hotel in Mt Hagen and raped eight times.
The alleged victims and their relatives reported the matter to the police but later consented to resolved it out of court.
If the cases are true, the politicians involved do not deserve to be in office.
Their conduct is polluting the very air we breathe.
They are supposed to be custodians of our constitution. How then can they take advantage of hapless girls?
It does not matter whether the victims have withdrawn their cases.
The issue is that these mean and immoral politicians are unfit for any public office for life and the Ombudsman Commission should wake up to this.
Second, the victims are a disgrace to their relatives and the country.
Who would believe the girl that she was raped in three different provinces or the other girl who was supposedly raped eight times?
These girls deserve some good disciplining from their relatives for the shame caused to them.
The relatives should also seriously pursue legal action against the “honourable” politicians.
By succumbing to financial gain, they are party to the girls’ immoral behaviour.
This issue needs to be addressed by the authorities as such incidents are a crime against decency and human dignity.
