Leaders to attend workshop on HIV/AIDS

DEPARTMENTAL secretaries and heads of statutory agencies are being encouraged to take a high profile in the leadership fight against HIV and AIDS.
At the end of the month, heads of Government agencies will be participating in a leadership support initiative workshop in Madang designed to strengthen the response of leaders to the HIV and AIDS epidemic.
Health Minister Sir Peter Barter, who has taken a strong leadership role in the fight against HIV and AIDS, will be addressing the workshop.
Facilitators will include international and local experts including the Deputy Speaker of the Bougainville House of Representatives Francesca Semoso.
On completion of the workshop, the agency leaders will be able to access a personal coaching programme to assist them to implement their action plans.
