NSL says thanks as finals four line up

THE National Soccer League Board has thanked all the franchise owners for making the second year of NSLa success.

Board chairman John Kapi Natto took his hat off to Tuguba Laitepo franchise owner Libe Parandali, Welgris Fuel Distributors and its board, Madang provin-cial government, International Food Corporation (IFC) through its brand BESTA, Augustine Mano of Inspac Insurance and Hekari Holdings through Kapi Natto Senior.
He particularly thanked two new franchises owner, IFC marketing manager Roslan and Mano for coming on board to take soccer to another level.
Kapi Natto said to in-volve with semi professional competition such as NSL was a tough exercise.
As a chairman, I sincerely thank my three Highlands brothers for coming forward to support soccer,î he said. He urged other business houses especially in coastal centres to come forward and support soccer which is better known as a coastal game.
The chairman also thanked Telikom PNG for their partnership in sponsoring the major Telikom Cup for the winners.
He said he wants to thank Telikom chairman Gerea Aopi and his board plus chief executive officer Peter Loko for their support and encouraging words to continue NSL.
Kapi Natto said he was pleased with what Loko have stated during their informal conversations that Telikom will sponsor the league for the next three years.
He said that the level of competition has increased because of good coaching.
But he also wants to see more coaching clinic for coaches involved with semi professional competition.
The chairman said the coaches must uphold their professionalism.
He urged every member of the team management to uphold their professionalism in what they are doing.
The managers should concentrate on the welfare of their players and manage their respective teams, while players must concentrate on the game and coaches must concentrate on what is happening on the field of play.
