Uni in funds drive
UNIVERSITY Inter Football Club (UIFC) will be holding a Corporate
Dinner on March 24 at Holiday Inn to raise money to send its
premier team to take part in the Oceania Club championship in New
Zealand. The club needs more than K180,000 to travel to the
tournament.
Club coach John Davani said the cost alone was at least K150,000
and they were looking at cheaper options at this stage.
He said the chairman of UIFC fundraising committee, Reg Monagi and
his team, were working very hard at fundraising.
The dinner is one of the major fundraising activities. A 10
person-table is for K2,000.
Davani said that so far the response had been good but slow.
However, he appealed to sporting clubs, organisations, government
departments and individuals to buy tables.
Those wishing to buy a table should contact Reg Monagi on Ph. 302
8247. Complementary drinks are one red wine and one white, and
beer on the tap.
