Yawari must work with public servants

I AM amazed by Hami Yawari’s comments to the education adviser (The National, March 21).
The governor should realise that public servants in Southern Highlands know the loopholes as they are on the ground, dedicating themselves to their job and responsibilities.
These public servants are not politicians but are there to support any government of the day by serving the people and delivering services to them.
If Yawari disagrees with them, there will still be problems with his so-called free education policy and the children will be the ones to suffer as in previous years.
He must hear what public servants have to say and work with them, instead of going to the media to tell them to shut up in an attempt to cover up his own mistakes.
