THE heavy down pour experienced in the nation’s capital has forced a furniture store to do a “flood sale” which saw electrical and home items going away at reduced prices.
Courts PNG began the sale yesterday in which items such as refrigerators, electrical stoves, gas stoves, televisions, book shelves, carpets, rags and furniture were sold at a discount price of 15% to 25%.
Sales representative Jasper Baira said: “A lot of items such as televisions, gas stoves and electrical stoves had been sold.”
The “flood sale” will continue till the end of the week to dispose of all the items damaged or partly damaged by the rain at much-reduced prices.
