Running from Rainbow Village

PORT Moresby Road Running action tomorrow will centre on Rainbow Village, Gerehu, with three events getting underway at the Mobil Service Station at 5pm.
All course head to Waigain Drive to start with where the short course, of 1.8 km, turns back for home.
The 4.3km and 8.6km runners turn right into Baruni Road, then right into Sivari Road, then back through the roundabout past Stop N Shop and back to Mobil.
The 4.3km runners stop there but the diehards doing the long course do a U-turn and follow the same course that they have just completed in the opposite direction.
The long race will put everybody in good shape for the next round of the Endurance Challenge on April 14 over the 6.7 TLC course.
Milton Iakosi won last week’s opening round in commanding fashion at the In Service College.
Remember that Road Runners events go ahead even if it is raining. Gerehu is a wet part of town but there is a big awning at the Service station which has been a life saver on many previous occasions.
