We'll stick to the rules at all times'

THE new chairman of National Judiciary Committee of PNG Rugby Football League James Waisime will ensure the constitution of PNGRFL, Players Code of conduct and the Standard competition rules are enforced for at all times.
Waisime was elevated to the number one spot to replace former chairman Erick Kuman who have been elevated to deputy chairman of PNGRFL Board in November last year during the annual general meeting.
PNGRFL has appointed a new chairman and retained the services of seven former committee members and three new members for the committee.
The members reappointed were deputy chairman Yapsi Tenvkoyfa (Tabubil), Kevin Murphy (Hagen), Victor Kauga (Lae) Joe Samara (Tabubil), Glen Amstrong (POM) and Brother Andrew Simpson (Madang) while Francis Matmilo (Tabubil), Patrick Monolok (Tabubil) and Allan Tagai (Kiunga) were new appointees.
An employee with OK Tedi, Waisime served his apprenticeship as a committee member under the leadership of Kuman.
The PNGRFL Board has every confident in him to lead the committee.
The Board thanked Kuman for his outstanding leadership and his committed members for their successful term in office which resulted in a lot of improvements in the general attitude of players and spectators.
The Board challenged the new committee to be fair and allow the rule of the game to function taking its natural course. The game will only improve if the rules are interpreted well without prejudice and foster the true sportsmanship played under the laws of the game.
The outgoing chairman Kuman thanked the Board for the mandate bestowed to him and his committee.
Since bulk of the previous committee members remains in the Committee he has every confident that the legacy set will be continued by the newly appointed committee members to meet expectations of all stakeholders. The public has acknowledged change in players and spectators discipline and attitude and hope to continue in 2007 season.
Waisime in accepting the appointment took the opportunity to thank the PNGRFL Board for having confidence in him and believes the new NJC will continue the standard displayed by the previous committee. He pledged to commit himself with the support of the newly appointed members to co-operate in ensuring the Constitution of PNGRFL, Players Code of conduct and the Standard competition rules are enforced for all misconducts both on and off the field.
