Ipatas move for unity lauded
THE call by Enga Governor Peter Ipatas to the five MPs from the province to work as a team to deliver basic goods and services and development must be commended.
Engans take their politics too personally and find it hard to forgive one another.
People who challenged each other are treated like political enemies for life.
Ipatas has broken this barrier by naming the young and vibrant Wapenamanda MP Miki Kaeok as deputy governor.
I call on the MPs to heed Ipatas’ call and work together so Engans will benefit.
Take SHP for example, Governor Agiru and the other MPs have teamed up to deliver basic services although they are from different political parties.
As a result, SHP has been resurrected in less than a year.
It is time Engans adopt similar attitude.
