Suspension of top police prosecutor extended again

TOP police prosecutor Chief Superintendent Thomas Eluh, battered by police officers and then suspended last March 28, has been suspended for the second time.
The notice of extension of his latest suspension, effective from April 17, was signed by crimes director Assistant Commissioner of Police Raphael Huafolo. It was served on Mr Eluh yesterday morning by Chief Inspector Joe Gawi.
Mr Eluh, when contacted, confirmed being served the notice.
He said the extension of the suspension must be the last one and called on the officers investigating the alleged conspiracy to bring false accusations, insubordination to commissioner of police, and disobeying the commissioner’s orders, to charge him within the 21 days if they find the evidence to do so.
Mr Eluh maintained that he had no grudges against anyone but was only doing his job when he was attacked, suspended, and then suspended again.
Although the suspension on Mr Eluh has been extended, there has not been any investigation into his attack on March 28, allegedly by NCD sector patrol commander Sengi Laki, who has been charged and appeared in court, and another officer (named) and the son (named) of a top cop (named).
The officers are still on active service despite instructions from Mr Baki to probe their actions and behaviour towards another police officer.
Mr Eluh’s first suspension notice of March 26 was also signed by Mr Huafolo but served on him by NCD/Central commander Alfred Reu, at Gordon police station in the presence of Mr Huafolo himself, soon after Mr Eluh was attacked.
