This clinic has been organised to assist the development of Rugby League and to promote human development through sports. This clinic should have up to 60 participants and this is wonderful for the strengthening of Rugby League in PNG.
PNGRFL is promoting as part of this years Coaching and Referee Clinic here in Lae a "Codes of Conduct' course. This course teaches the participants how to respect referees and opposing teams but also has a wider focus on health and keeping healthy, with particular information on HIV/AIDS and on preventing Violence against Women.
The objective of this "Code of Conduct" is to have a flow on effect into the larger community by informing families and friends of those associated with Rugby League and through the spectators who attend the games.
Mainland Holdings believes that sport is an excellent way of promoting people and their development and is proud to be supporting the concepts developed in the PNGRFL's codes of conduct and to share the vision that sports is a effective means of promoting human development and healthy living.
