At last, a win to Agmark Guria

AGMARK Guria registered their first SP Cup win yesterday, thrashing the undefeated Brian Bell Bulldogs 30-12 at Kalabond Oval in Rabaul.
The visitors scored their first try 16 minutes into the game through Benjamin John however, the conversion try was unsuccessful.
Guria, not willing to let them get away that fast, levelled the score at 4-4 soon after, and then skipper Menzie Yere extended the lead with a converted try after a good set play by lock Oscar Tonga to bring the score to 10-4.
The next few minutes saw the ball kept in Bulldogs territory. Guria almost scored but Matalau dropped the ball under the post as he crossed line.
However, the home side displayed good defence and did not let their opponents through before their fullback Lik Delly scored another try from Jessie Alunga’s chip kick to take the lead to 14-4. The conversion was successful and Guria lead 16-4.
Just before halftime, Jessie Joe scored for the Bulldogs to reduce the scoreline to 16-8.
In the second half, Ulamona import Baltasa Lome barged his way through the Bulldogs defence line to score a try to take the lead to 20-8. .
Bulldogs played catch-up football and scored through fullback Burau Burau to trail 20-12.
Minutes later Guria’s Rolly Matalau scored another converted try after a chip kick by Jessie Alunga to bring the score to 26- 12.
Guria forward Opisa Pomba scored one more following a grubber kick from Sakias Kabange to extend the lead to 30-12.
Bulldogs tried their best to score in the dying minutes but were not successful.
