Tabare folks back Sinebare

FORMER vice-chancellor of the University of Goroka Dr Musawe Sinebare was accepted by the people of Tabare area to be their candidate for the Sinasina-Yongumugl seat in the Simbu province.
The people officially launched his campaign at Yobakogul rest house at Ninal village on Tuesday.
More than 2,000 people gathered to witness the launching including former Sinasina-Yongumugl MP and candidate Ben Okoro with fellow candidates Simon Goma and Alex Dawa.
“Many candidates are nominating to contest for one seat but only one will win, we put Dr Sinebare to the pool of candidates,” one of the leaders Golapa Bulage said. Dr Sinebare blamed the people for electing bad leaders resulting in the deterioration of services.
“We still remain in the dark, because over the last 40 years, we went for our tongue and stomach services that accumulated to the collapse of basic services,” he said.
Dr Sinebare said a human intestine from the neck to the anus was 7.5m long.
“The lamb-flaps, cow meat, chicken and pig that you may be offered by candidates to consume to vote for them would only travel that distance within you before it becomes a waste. That’s how the people have been wasting their votes,” he said.
