Wingti up against NA

FORMER prime minister Paias Wingti has declared war on the National Alliance Party.
Governor Wingti, who is leading the People’s Democratic Movement (PDM) Party into the elections, urged a gathering at the Pope’s Oval in Mt Hagen City yesterday to dismantle the ruling party in the coming national election if they want change.
Speaking after paying his nomination fee to defend his seat, Mr Wingti said he was confident of forming the new government and become the next prime minister.
He described the NA party as a “parasite” which made decisions and policies on the platforms of other political parties, like his PDM.
He said some of PDM’s policies and legislative changes implemented by the current Somare/Polye Government were the limited preferential voting system, reforms to the Public Finance Management Act and Superannuation Act, the provincial government reforms, free education policy and crop support.
He said if people in the country wanted change, then they must vote political parties such as PDM, New Generation Party, People’s Progress Party, PNG Party and PNG National Party.
