Four LLGs peldge support for Pruaitch

THE laid back town of Aitape in Sandaun province came alive on Wednesday when Aitape-Lumi MP and Minister for Forest Patrick Pruaitch nominated to defend his seat.
A crowd of about 5,000 people from east and west Aitape, east and west Wape including Malol and Yakamul villages turned up to pledge their support for Mr Pruaitch.
This was also the first time in Aitape-Lumi politics that the people of the four local level governments united to back a current MP to retain his seat.
Since entering politics in 2002, Mr Pruaitch had brought tangible infrastructure and agriculture developments to the electorate.
His quality leadership and management abilities also landed him a cabinet portfolio as Forest Minister and leader of Government Business.
He is also the deputy leader of the ruling National Alliance Party for Momase, taking over from Lae MP Bart Philemon.
With his wife Agnes at his side during nomination, Mr Pruaitch assured the people of Aitape-Lumi that he would continue to use politics to ensure real developments were channelled to the people of Aitape-Lumi and Papua New Guinea.
