Dress up for table tennis

By MUSARIKE ANANGAI
The PNG table tennis teamís bid to win gold at the Arafura Games has been given an added boost with local clothing company After Dark Fashions PNG presenting them with a set of competition uniforms yesterday.
The 12 sets consisted of jackets, T-shirts and shorts valued at K 4,000.
Eleven players will represent the country, four departed yesterday while the rest of the team will leave today. Four of whom are woman players.
After Dark Fashions PNG director Kathleen Johnson said the company was proud to be part of table tennis campaign to bring back medals.
Team manager Udu Heni was appreciative of the sponsorship saying the team will give the utmost best at the games.
The table tennis team was short of K10, 000 to fund their airfare costs but the players, their families with the help of Wallace Hire Cars and Mr Ian Downey contributed and met that shortfall to allow them to travel.
