And they’re running again

Port Moresby Road Runners will start their events tomorrow outside the Royal Papua Yacht Club at 5pm.
No seafaring adventures are planned and only the normal land legs are required. Two events are on the card, with the distances likely to be 2km to 3km and 7km to 8km. The courses are still awaiting certification by the race committee.
Milton Iakosi has soared to what looks like an unassailable lead in the Endurance Challenge after his fourth straight win last Sunday morning at UPNG, with daylight again second.
The next race, the Taurama Ten Miler, is on the last Sunday morning of this month. He will wrap up the series and set himself up well for next month’s National Athletics Championships in Lae with another victory.
After a sluggish start to the year the Kila Kila schoolteacher has swatted hard to be in peak condition.
Tomorrow the runners will gather in the public car park across the road from the Sir Hubert Murray Stadium. Be there early for the race briefing and an on-time departure. The entry fee remains 20 toea.
