| Depressed over condition in POMGH | |
|
I REFER to the front page report
“Sick go hungry” (May 7). After reading the report, I was unable to perform my normal duties in the office. I just cannot understand this government. How on earth can it allow the sick and vulnerable at the Port Moresby General Hospital, a premier and national referral hospital, go without food? There is a shortage of doctors and medicine at POMGH. Now food has joined the list. What’s next? In my opinion, the hospital management should be sacked. If you were to visit POMGH today, you would think that you are in the slumps of some undeveloped country. It looked as if it had been hit by a tornado. The floor is rotten and dirty. The stench is unbearable. I really pity those who have no choice but to seek treatment there. Is it any wonder why none of our leaders go there for treatment? Kelly K Via email |
