Silence on tax regime

OVER 2,700 aspiring politicians out there are making a lot of noise like empty drums, hoping to obtain the mandate to do their own thing in the corridors of power.
Whilst it is their democratic right to woo the voters, the noise they are making is a cause for concern, especially when most of it is hot air.
It seems many of these aspirants are quite happy with the current income tax regime that sets out to drain the worker of just about all the excess cash he earns in order to ease the pressures of his own responsibilities to his family.
No aspiring politician has even put up his hand to include this important aspect of the economy into their platforms.
The worker is paying income tax and given concession only three dependents, regardless of how many dependents he or she has and then pays GST on food and other items to feed his entire dependents.
This is totally unfair and an injustice to the worker.
