Tough games expected in Lahi soccer round eight

LAHI premier league soccer competition goes into round eight this weekend with tough games expected with only three games remaining in the first round.
On Saturday at the Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium PNG Power take on unofficial points table leaders Sobou at midday followed by Bumayong and Apotiko in what is expected to be a tough game.
The main game of the day sees Sogeram and Sambure fight it for much needed points to get a good placing in round one.
Sunday’s fixtures sees Guria, who went down to Bismarck last Sunday, take on Rapatona in another exciting clash at 2pm prior to the day’s main game between Mungkas, who have been inconsistent with their wins, and Bismarck who are on a three game winning streak.
In the women’ league Unitech take on Sogeram at 9am at the Telikom Training College ground one for the first round eight match. The women’s main game will see Buang Football Club (BFC) take on new team Bobosa Rangers at the Sir Ignatius Stadium.
In first division Saturday games PNG Power take on Sobou at 11am, Apotiko meet Scorpion and MBU challenge TTC Bullets. Under 23 games will all be played at TTC starting at 9am with Guria and PNG Power, Rapatona versus Sobou, Sambure against Unitech; Bismarck clash with Bobosa rangers, Sogeram against BFC; Bumayong will test their team against Bullets while Apotiko and Mungkas face off in the days main game.
MBU are on a bye for the weekend.
Sunday’s women’s league sees a struggling Bismarck take on an in-form PNG Power and the Bismarck women will have to get their act together to close the tap on Power, Sambure go up against Mungkas and Apotiko take on the might of the experienced Guria women at 11am.
The first division and U/23 are now into game seven while the premier league and women’s league goes into round eight.
