Feed the students who pay high fees

AS an Eastern Highlander and a student doing my practical in a different province, it was a wonder to see one of the top secondary schools in the province appearing on the front page on our daily newspaper because of shortage of food.
Compared to other secondary schools in the province, Kabiufa is the most expensive school with big land area for farming.
A Grade 12 student’s school fee is almost similar to a college student’s fee, about K3,000.
I have a sister doing Grade 12 and my parents, who are subsistence farmers, are paying so much for her school fee.
I wonder what the principal, Mr Bonduk, and his board of management are doing with the money.
Parents are paying so much and they expect their children to learn and be fed according to what they are paying.
In institutions where students are protesting, it is because of poor services provided.
Priority should be given to students because they are the ones who are paying for the services.
Students shouldn’t be running around looking for food.
We don’t expect schools like Kabiufa to run out of food and let the innocent students suffer.
