No more Sepik-led government: Gare

IT will be difficult to have another Sepik-led government, according to the Pangu Pati’s East Sepik branch.
Branch secretary Cyril Gare said this was because so much had been done to tarnish the reputation of Sepiks over the last five years.
Mr Gare said the country was on guard and holding Sepik leadership responsible for the following outstanding issues:
*Section 145 Proposed Constitutional Amendment;
*Appointment of top jobs in the Government and semi-Government institutions;
*K30 million Sepik Highway Trust Fund fraud;
*K4.2 million Jimmy Kendi fraud;
*Finance Department (censored) inquiry;
*(Sanctioned) Gun Committee Report;
*K600 million Sepik Development Projects funding;
*K2,000 Gabriel Kapris guilty verdict;
*Brisbane airport sandal affair; and
*Julian Moti affair.
Mr Gare said all these issues remained unresolved and cast doubt on the integrity of the Sepik leadership.
“Integrity is the spirit of being honest and uncorrupt,” he said.
“It is the main pillar of good governance.”
Mr Gare urged all 240,000 eligible voters of East Sepik to vote responsibly as their votes could make or break PNG forever.
