Mola asks for help
Bodybuilder Johny Mola’s goal to
improve on his fourth placing at the last Pacific Games in Fiji
is slowly building momentum with his employer PNG Power getting
on board to assist him to raise money for his food supplements.
Apart from paying his K2,000 levy fee, PNG Power is also putting
up a fundraiser at the Paddy’s Bar this Friday where some of the
games’ team members, as well as Mr South Pacific Donald Kaiwi,
will be posing.
Mola said yesterday it was important to take the right food
supplements to complement the training supplements they were now
taking to prevent muscle shrinkage while they were dieting. “I
cannot eat just any food, I have to eat the right kind of food,”
he added.
Mola is part of a nine-person (including two women) PNG
bodybuilding team currently training intensively under coach
Luke Pondros.
The Western Highlander, who has acquired good international
results recently, will compete in the over 90 category.
He is the current national champion in his category, third in
the South Pacific titles last year, fourth Fiji SP games (2003),
runner-up Norfolk mini-SP Games (2001) and third in the
Queensland titles (2000).
He has urged everyone, especially Western Highlanders, to
support him by attending the fundraiser this Friday.
