Good managers wanted

AMIDST the corporate scandals and political indiscretions, our perspective of leaders can easily become jaded and worn out.
Seeing the flaws of prominent leaders in our country and communities is disheartening and demoralising.
Negative images of corrupt leaders and their abuses of power breed a cynical and pessimistic outlook in our minds towards leadership.
With most media attention tilted towards incidents of leadership failure, upbeat stories of admirable leadership are refreshing albeit rare.
When found they offer glimmers and sparks of optimism and restore our faith in our leaders.
Papua New Guinea has now come to a stage where we are living in a period of wasted opportunity because our leaders have squandered precious time and resources.
Time management is as important as resources management.
To make the most of the limited resources within a shortest possible time, it takes a good leader who knows how to manage those resources responsibly.
