Ex-envoy promises health, education services

By ZACHERY PER
A CANDIDATE for the provincial seat in Simbu province has promised to provide free health and education services to the people using funds from overseas donors.
Aiwa Olmi, former ambassador to Japan, made the promise during his campaign in Gumine.
Mr Olmi said having spent over 25 years with the Foreign Affairs department and occupying some of the key Government positions, he was confident of soliciting funds abroad to fund free health and education programmes for the people in his province.
He said he knew some overseas fund donors who could support his programme.
