Aimo misleading people, says Yambui

By CLIFFORD FAIPARIK

A COUNCILLOR yesterday claimed that Ambunti-Dreikikir MP Tony Aimo had misled the nation in a four-page report about his achievements in the electorate.
Avatip councillor Casper Yambui alleged that last Monday’s paid four-page political ad on Mr Aimo’s achievements during his five-year term was false. “Some of those projects had not started yet and also the monies allocated for them had been misused.
“An outboard motor that was given for the use of the Ambunti local level government council had be come a property of certain individual.
“The 110kva generator for the Ambunti station was now staying idle since it was installed last year.
“The Ambunti hospital had no electrical wiring installation,” he claimed.
“The credit scheme for the Ambunti-Dreikikir cocoa farmers was not working.
Mr Yambui alleged that from the K1 million allocated for the credit scheme, “we only used K50,000 to fund a two-week workshop for farmer’s mobilisation.
Mr Aimo was not available yesterday to give his side.
