Charter flight to bring in common rolls for Morobe

THE Electoral Commission has arranged a charter to fly the common rolls for nine electorate in Morobe today.
Assistant Morobe elections manager Peter Yasaro said yesterday the common rolls were still in Port Moresby.
“I appeal to all the candidates to be patient with us as we are doing everything possible to airlift all the common rolls to Lae today to be distributed to all the candidates and their supporters,” he said.
There will be 55 polling centres in the city, all of which will be under heavy police guard.
Polling in the city begins on Saturday.
In the eight districts of Morobe Bulolo, Kabwum, Huon Gulf, Nawaeb, Markham, Menyamya and Tewai/Siassi, polling will be held on Monday.
