Telikom’s ‘success’ shows in its service

IT is indeed hilarious to read Telikom is a victim of its own success when it takes no notice of complaints, letters to the editor or other forms of complaint that reach it.
Here is an example of Telikom’s self-proclaimed success – my phone is out of order and cannot receive incoming calls.
So on Saturday afternoon I dialled 014 and it was eventually answered by a pleasant young lady, who described herself as “customer help line”.
I told her the nature of my complaint and she told me to dial 014. I told her that was what I did and my speaking to her was the result.
She insisted that I dial 014.
So I asked what if I get her again? “Then you will have to call again on Monday when 014 is staffed,” she replied.
Which rocket scientist devised a help line that cannot help?
Telikom PNG must be the only communications carrier in the world that does not operate a 24/7 fault service.
This is but one example of Telikom’s success, and it wants to keep out the competition!
Wake up, Telikom! When the competition arrives, the vast majority of your customers, both mobile and land line, will leave you and you can keep on fooling yourself.
As a telecommunications company, you are completely dysfunctional.
In the meantime, I will report the fault on Monday morning and wait for three or four weeks before it is fixed.
I have been waiting for 10 years for a linesman to come and replace the “temporary” line that is strung between the trees to my house.

Totally frustrated
