Challenge Australia’s arrogant statements

I AM an elementary teacher and I am writing this letter through sheer frustration.
While critics are saying the outcome-based education is a failure, as a teacher, I totally disagree with that.
But with elementary education, the failure now lies with the teachers simply because I have taught as an elementary teacher for eight years and have seen the way teachers have acted towards their profession in the area that I come from.
Some elementary teachers have “don’t care attitudes” and are absent for weeks, months or even a year. Yet they are still on the payroll. I just wonder how this is so.
Some even don’t take orders from their superiors or go to school without a lesson plan.
Some even have other paid jobs.
It is really a sick system and I strongly urge the education authorities in Popondetta to look at it seriously as it affects the elementary education system and the work of other committed teachers.
Since these problems are chronic and the Government of the day should restructure the education department once and for all.
Pay all the elementary teachers for their services and send them back to their villages to plant kaukau. That was where teachers were taken from.
Then select the few best teachers from each provinces and sent them for further training to be primary school teachers.
I want all parents throughout the nation to support my view and push for elementary education to be abolished.
