Hopes up for tangible development

WE would like to congratulate NCD governor-elect Powes Parkop. We know you have a daunting task ahead, but we also know you have the wit and diligence to face whatever comes your way.
Never lose sight of the true purpose for your victory and that is to fight for the good governance and equality for the people of Port Moresby and for that matter, the rest of PNG.
A leader of your calibre has been missing in this city for a long time and we believe under your stewardship, we will see some tangible improvement and changes into the mechanism of delivery of goods and services.
We cannot demand more from you, but only that we want to live in a city where our roads are not filled with potholes, where our domestic water will always flow, electricity is guaranteed and our youths are engaged in worthwhile activities.
We also expect our poor mothers to have a safe place to sell their goods and our streets will be safe to walk again when the sun sets.
