Sir Bob praises Wenge for retaining seat

NEW Generation Party candidate and Lae businessman Sir Bob Sinclair has congratulated Regional Member-elect for Morobe Luther Wenge for retaining the seat.
Sir Bob, who polled 94,568 votes to land as runner-up to Mr Wenge (103,914), said the people of Morobe had handed down the verdict.

He, however, said the difference between his votes and that of Mr Wenge showed that “all is not well in Morobe”.
Sir Bob said, however, he accepted the result.
“I would like to urge the Regional Member to give prominence to vital services in the rural areas, which include maintenance of roads, promotion of health, education and law and order throughout Morobe.”
“When I say all is not well in Morobe, ;all is not well’ as Morobe people had been deprived of basic services delivery in the last 10 years.”.
Sir Bob said he hoped Mr Wenge would put to good use the limited funding from the National Government so that the people of Morobe would receive basic services.
He urged Mr Wenge not to use funds on programmes and projects that would only benefit a few.
He thanked his voters for their confidence in him and assured them that he will continue to provide support to the people of Morobe.
