Parties urged not to ‘hijack’ MPs

POLITICAL parties should not ‘hijack’ independent and newly elected members for their own political gain but think about the people who have voted for them.
Morobe’s political critic and chairman of Tru Morobe Grup (TMG) Peter Seske said this when reacting to media reports on independent MPs being ‘hijacked’ by political parties.
Mr Seske said that this was not in the best interest of the people who gave the independent MPs the mandate to represent them in Parliament.
“These MPs owe the people of PNG on what they have to deliver and not for them to be lured and hijacked by petty politics.”
