Proper ending for Moresby soccer

By HENRY MORABANG
THE Port Moresby soccer competition will conclude its season proper with final matches played in all division this weekend.
PMSA secretary Frank Kauri confirmed that this weekend marks the end of season proper and confirmation of top four places for the finals. The PMSA executive made the decision to allow top four to contest for the premiership.
In the premier division, PS Rutz needs to beat Momase to consolidate its spot on the competition ladder.
University, Defence, Cosmos and Rapatona must win their respective matches to qualify for the top four placing.
Of the four teams, Cosmos faces a tough opposition in competition pacesetter PRK Souths.
Defence under the stewardship of player/coach Selan Elijah, the boys from Murray Barracks are ready to bow out in the competition in style when they take on unpredictable Guria outfit.
Souths should wrap up the minor premiership title despite the outcome of the game against Cosmos.
On Sunday, University will face a tough match when they go up against Rapatona while B-Mobile takes on Verave.
The points ladder as of last weekend Souths 42, PS Rutz 34, Uni 26, Defence 26, Cosmos 26, Rapatona 23, Verave 18, Momase 17, Guria 12 and B-Mobile 6.
