No drop in tourists

DESPITE the recent election, PNG is still able to attract tourists.
A tour guide with the Goroka Trek and Tours Anthony Sega has been very busy lately arranging for local village and town tours for tourists.
Many of these tourists had made prior bookings.
Mr Sega was accompanying a couple from Yokohama, Japan, around Goroka town when The National caught up last week.
The couple Stacey and Jun Johnson, who arrived in PNG earlier last week, will be spending three weeks here.
Mr Johnson said he was very fascinated with PNG.
“Since arriving here, we’ve been greeted with friendly smiles,” he said.
Mr Sega said he was expecting a big group of Europeans who will be visiting Madang, EHP and Western Highlands some time this month.
