Girl Guides astray in Morobe

AFTER watching EMTV news on Boys Scouts and Girl Guides day in the National Capital District, I would like to comment on that.
It seems that Girl Guides do not exist in Morobe.
We have tried several times to occupy the Girl Guides property in Lae for our girls’ activities but were unsuccessful.
The AOG church took control by playing money to their advantage to the National Guides HQ.
The chairperson and the official at the headquarters had their own interest and pushed aside the interest of Girl Guides in Morobe.
Now the AOG church board members have placed a security company to stop any activities in the Mary Naylor Hall in Lae.
This has made it more difficult for the local Girl Guides to get in and run their programmes.
There is no proper budget for the Girl Guides in Morobe.
Everything is controlled by the National Guides in Port Moresby.
There is no point for the news presenter to appeal to the Members of Parliament to look into the programme.
The Boys Scouts, however, seemed more organised than the Girl Guides Association.
I think chief commissioner of Boy Scouts is doing fine.
He has been out in the field with his provincial commissioners to see the association operate effectively.
