AND a very good morning to all – great to be with you again and to have the pleasure of continuing with our Quiz winners list.
***
WE open this morning with Quizzer Dominic Armbrust, back in the fold – Dominic is with FinCorp at Waigani. Then a big hello to Steven Manas with PNG Power; D’Red – great name — who calls Kenmore home, and Geua Willie with Kina Finance.
***
FRANK Aisi is with the International Relations unit of the PM’s department and the NEC – a correct answer and an interesting question from Frank: Where does the name Hohola come from? Any bright ideas should be
e-mailed to us at the address at the end of the Column.
***
THEN it’s a good morning to bright and bouncy Malcolm Kulu at AusAID with an assurance that we are not in danger of nodding off to sleep, despite the multitude of answers; over to Steven Hokmori, also a FinCorp identity – thanks Steven; and yet another Steven, this time Mr Anda at Pangtel – greetings to you.
***
TASKI and Sos – now there’s a pair of exotic names that hails all the way from DWU campus in Madang. Morning, twos – we must pass on your names to Spy the Ancient Scribbler. A good detailed answer from Irene Romel, thanks; then we’re calling a probably frost-bitten Jess Sawong in Darkest Melbourne, Oz, and Devjani Chaudhuri, e-mailing from the Land of the Maple Leaf, Canada.
***
ONWARD, forward – top of the day to Stanford Nahuet with the provincial treasury in Wewak and to Noah Taugaloidi with Laga Industries in Lae. Any free ice cream Noah? Namarola Lote with PNGIMR follows Noah; while egaz or EP, up in the mountains of Ok Tedi, and Dr John Christie from Swan Hill in Victoria bring this Quiz to a very successful close. We’re delighted to welcome you all back to the fold!
***
SO saying, we unveil the second Quiz of the season. Many of our islands have interesting histories; Samarai, Watom, Yule and New Hanover spring to mind. Your Quiz question: For what is Gemo Island remembered? Send your answers to DeeNesenolis@hotmail.com. The closing date is 5pm next Sunday. Cheers!
