Greater things expected from new
Rigo MP

AS new Rigo Member, Ano Pala is with the ruling Government and I hope he would work hard to deliver basic goods and services to every LLG in the electorate.
I also hope that all the joint district budget planning and priority committees would be well represented by all stakeholders, so that planning and decisions would be made in the best interest of the people.
I call on Pala to look into the three LLGs – Rigo Central, Rigo Coast and Rigo Inland – and make sure that representations from youth, women and churches are also included in the LLG membership.
I urge the new MP to improve the learning facilities and teachers’ houses at Kwikila Secondary School and to introduce a University of PNG Open Campus at the school to cater for Grade 10 educated men and women of Rigo seeking to further their tertiary
education at diploma and degree levels.
I also suggest vocational education be given priority and the Kwikila Vocational Centre facilities be further upgraded to cater for all available trade courses (carpentry and joinery, mechanic, welding, panel beating, painting, craftmaking, agriculture, animal husbandry, computing, small business management, tourism and hospitality).
There are a lot of things that could be done to change the development scenario in Rigo district, if every Rigo citizen can change their way of thinking to appreciate each others’ gifts and talents.
I hope the new MP will support individuals and local organisations with creativity and innovation to bring about meaningful changes in the district.
As a genuine Rigo citizen, I put my hands up to offer creative ideas to empower our people.
