Get rid of the monopoly ‘relics’

SINCE Telikom PNG is copying Digicel’s ideas and concept, it clearly shows the marketing executives have no brains. Marketing is all about studying the customer and the way they behave so that you know exactly what they want.
The trick is to be different from your competitors and try to stay away from them at all times. The customers always want to be different from the rest. If you are looking for ideas, there are millions out there.
Now, there is speculation that Telikom would come to a stage where it would eventually have to submit to a takeover, and that moment may not be very far. Once Telikom surrenders, Digicel will buy off Telikom. This is the current global trend.
Telikom has already fallen into Digicel’s trap. Now it is trying to emulate everything Digicel does. That is exactly what Digicel wants it to do in order to weaken Telikom.
Digicel is a multinational company and it knows its way around these rugged paths.
Once Telikom is exhausted trying to catch up with it, Digicel would use its ultimate strategic weapon to devour everything in the market.
So my recommendation to Telikom is to get rid of those old retarded people who have been working since the monopoly days – people who have been with public sector for ages and the word “competition” is not in their dictionary.
Their continued presence is a huge threat to Telikom.
