Let’s work together to develop Manus province

ON behalf of the Manusians working arasait lo ples, I would like to congratulate the Open Member Job Pomat and Regional Member Michael Sapau. We hope to see both of you working together for the betterment of our island province.
I have a couple of suggestions on how we can improve our province.
Firstly, our small town of Lorengau has not been maintained and it has deteriorated since the late 1970s. I believe the annual grants you receive are more than enough to revitalise the township. Having resided in Kokopo recently, both of you would have noticed how it is shaping up to be the country’s third largest city. So let’s kick start some development projects in Lorengau.
Secondly, I humbly request both of you to strategise and pool together the only commonly known resource that we have – our intellect – to draw up plans on how to bring Manus forward. The are so many Manusians all over the country and overseas who are willing to offer the suggestions, experience and specialised skills to develop Manus. This can happen if both of you make an invitation and allow us to be meaningfully involved.
