WESTERN Highlands Governor-elect Tom Olga will include in his budget the Defence Force engineering battalion’s Singoroko base in the province for civic action activities.
Mr Olga said this last Friday during the farewell parade for the Security Forces deployed for the recent National Elections duties in Highlands region.
“Thank you all for your professional conduct during the National Elections and I am proud this country has such fine disciplined forces,” he said.
He said he would assist the Singoroko base in Western Highlands by including it in his budget so it could help his government carry out civic action projects for the people.
“I also want to see the Defence Force build up in strength so that it can protect our country’s abundant natural resources from being exploited improperly,” Mr Olga said.
