Bulldogs, Lahanis in final four

PORT Moresby’s BRIAN Bell Bulldogs and Goroka’s Bintangor Lahanis have made the final four after winning in the first finals round of the SP Cup rugby league competition played yesterday. The Bulldogs accounted for reigning premiers Mabey & Johnson Muruks 18-8 in Lae while in Port Moresby premiership favourites Lahanis struggled early but eventually beat the other Port Moresby franchise Wari Vele Raiders 36-12.
Though beaten, the Muruks have another chance this weekend when they meet Lahanis in the preliminary final in Lae
For Raiders the loss means they hang up their boots for another year.
And Bulldogs will travel to Rabaul to meet minor premiers Agmark Gurias in the qualifying final.
