A REPORT released by the land dispute settlement working group following the second National Land Development workshop last April has recommended that a land court be set up and separated from both the Departments of Justice and Attorney-General and Magisterial Services.
It highlighted that the the current arrangement of land disputes had failed to address the increasing number of disputes brought before the courts.
Representatives from all relevant organisations had pledged during the workshop to support any workable proposition that would give priority to resolving and reducing land disputes.
