Dadae stresses stability in Government

By JULIA DAIA BORE
STABILITY in Government was very important for the growth and progress of this country, United Party’s new leader Bob Dadae said on Wednesday.
The re-elected MP for Kabwum said development and progress would not go anywhere without law and order.
He said the United Party’s out-going leader Bire Kimisopa contributed much towards nation building as minister of two of the most important government portfolios – police and justice.
“If you talk about development, it goes with law and order,” he said.
Accepting his new role and farewelling Mr Kimisopa, Mr Dadae said it was a pity that Mr Kimisopa was not re-elected.
Mr Dadae said stability was demonstrated in the last government and he wanted to see that continued with this new National Alliance-led Government.
“We want to maintain our support for the ruling party which is NA,” he said.
“There had been many commentaries made in the media which also raised questions about the capabilities of Members who were camping at Kokopo.
“United Party’s purpose to be there basically was in line with the democratic process,” which he said was “going with the wishes of the people”.
