Lala Kombul (27th minute) with only Hawks four-pointer from
consistent centre Denis Lohoa (13th minute) to lead 12-6 at
halftime break.
In the second half with it was a tussle between the two teams as
they exchanged blow for blow with Tarangau winger Robert Gerai,
and centre Malu defending like champions while a Boge Dika
penaly and late tries to hitman Tona Peter and winger Hoeta Pala
helped secure the come-from-behind win the for the Hanuabada
team.
Meanwhile, Souths rugby league club president James Hol said
that his team have prepared and were always the dark horse but
have done well so far to stay in contention in the finals
play-offs and they were now talking grand final regardless of
what happens next weekend.
Hol said it would be a do-or-die game for Souths next week
against the minor premiers Dobo Warriors.
Warriors and Souths battle it out for a spot in the grand final
while Hawks and Brothers also fight for their life next week for
a grand final berth.
