PNGFM loses PA system to thefts

PNG FM branch in Lae lost a high powered PA system worth K20,000 to thugs who broke into the premises and walked away with the equipment in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The thugs broke into the Cascade Village and tampered the laundry room where PNGFM Lae branch manager Charlie Gorogo kept the equipment.
Mr Gorogo said during the heavy downpour yesterday between 3am and 4am, the thugs hacked through the fence to enter the premises and broke into the laundry room at the basement to get the PA system while Mr Gorogo and his family were sleeping upstairs.
He alleged that the theft was related to an inside job where someone from within the compound or a regular visitor had released the information to the burglars.
Police confirmed the theft and were investigating.
