Boroko Motors lauds long-serving
workers
BOROKO Motors Ltd has begun awarding
its long-serving staff with vouchers and certificates of
recognition starting with employees at the Waigani branch.
Last week, 37 employees from the branch’s services and
spare-parts division received awards as recognition for long
services and contributions towards the company’s growth.
General manager Geoff Lang said the company would also recognise
employees in other units around the country for long services.
“We are recognising staff with 10 years of service or more,” Mr
Lang said.
Vouchers worth K500 were given out to employees who served for
10 years or more and K1,500 for staff with 20 years and over.
Two of the awardees – Jim Bok and Akep Yolam, who was not
present – were recognised for services over 30 years.
After receiving his awards, Mr Bok said that he thought this was
the best thing Boroko Motors could do for its employees.
He said he was “very happy and honoured” and that he would
continue to work hard with dedication.
Mr Bok was presented a K1,500 voucher and a framed certificate
of recognition for his 37 years of services.
