Dedicated to prosperity

By ISAAC NICHOLAS
THE economic condition is right for Government to scale greater heights in terms of social and economic development, Chief Secretary Isaac Lupari said yesterday.
Mr Lupari said this during the dedication of the National Executive Council at the State function room at National Parliament yesterday.
The dedication was attended by State ministers, departmental heads and heads of statutory organisations.
Catholic archbishop Sir Brian Barnes and United church moderator Rev Samson Lowa conducted the dedication with prayers and words of encouragement.
Mr Lupari said the projection was for economic growth to outpace the population growth for the first time in this country, and credited political leadership and stability for the achievement.
Prime Minister Sir Michael Somare said PNG was a diverse country and with the support from ministers, departmental heads, churches and the community as a whole, would bring this country forward.
“Our job is to make the right decisions; let’s put Papua New Guinea first. Since I came to politics in 1968, my number one priority had been Papua New Guinea, nothing else.”
