Man gets award for long service

A LONG serving employee of Mainland Holdings Ltd (MHL) has been recognised for his 30 years of services to the company at a recent long service awards night held at the Goudie Training Centre last week.
MHL communications manager Jein Brown said MHL recognised the services provided by four long-serving employees and awarded them with various awards depending on the number of years they had served with the company.
“MHL believes that the long service award is not only a milestone for the employees but the company also recognises the loyalty shown by the many employees over the years by contributing towards the development of the company over the years,” Mrs Brown said.
“Forty-one employees received a gold watch each for 10 years service, three of them received a Crocodile belt and long-serving employee Kasa received goods worth K1,000 in recognition of his 30 years service to the company,” she added.
Kasa had spent the last 30 years working with the import section of ABCO Transport and moved to work with MHL in 1976 and had witnessed many changes in the years he had spend with the company.
